Immigrant Wellness Coordinator
Khiabeth Sanchez recently graduated from California State University Channel Islands with both a Bachelor in Chicana/o Studies and Sociology. She’s worked within the community of Wilmington and surrounding cities doing Covid education and outreach, providing folks with resources for housing assistance in the SELA area, organized and guided students in Wilmington as well as the Oxnard / Camarillo area to advocate for their right to pursue higher education. Kiabeth’s passion is creating meaningful change and working along with community members to push for systemic changes to be implemented. She hopes for marginalized and underfunded communities to be recognized; and to ensure that state and local officials are meeting the needs of all their residents in their communities regardless of gender, sex, race, or immigration status.
